Class of '52 Honored
by Office of Planned Giving!
Planned Giving held a reception to honor
the graduates of the Class of ‘52 on their 50th anniversary Friday,
November 1, 2002, at the OSU Foundation building. Approximately 70
graduates and their spouses and siblings attended the event. States
represented were Missouri, Nebraska, Arizona, California, Illinois, New
Mexico, Texas and Colorado!
Everyone enjoyed a lovely buffet provided by OSU Residential Life and
taking tours of the new building. They stopped by the board room
to watch a looping PowerPoint presentation of senior pictures from the
1952 Redskin yearbook! Lots of laughter was heard coming from the
room! One spouse was heard to say after watching the show, "I've
been married to a brunette, a redhead, and a blonde, and it's all been
the same woman!"
Entertainment was provided by the very talented Chad Haney, who is the
son of Joe Haney, Sr. Director of Development in the College of Business.
He played hits from the late 40's and 50's.
Other interesting stories from that evening:
Two brothers were there, both graduated in 1952 and they were not twins.
One had gone to WWII and returned in 1948 to finish OSU the same year as
his younger brother.
A couple from Tulsa planned to drive home after the reception Friday
night and drive back to Stillwater the next morning to attend the A &
S reception at 9:30. When one of their classmates who lives in Stillwater
heard this she insisted that they stay with her, so they enjoyed her gracious
hospitality!
This is the last of the Class of '52 pictures. Hope you found them to be enjoyable. We enjoyed meeting each of you!
