For years, charity leaders, fund raisers and people involved in philanthropic enterprises have all turned to The Chronicle of Philanthropy to find out what's happening in the nonprofit world. And in that world, Boone Pickens is happening.
OSU's own Boone Pickens and his wife Nelda were featured in this issue focusing on America's Top Donors. Boone joins other well-known names such as Joan B. Kroc and Michael and Susan Dell. Boone and Nelda Pickens made headlines around the country in March 2003 by announcing one of the largest gifts ever made to a university.
The following is from The Chronicle's feature:

Nelda, 55, will establish a $20-million trust for renovations to the

used for scholarships. The couple also promised to bequeath $35-million to
Oklahoma State. Mr. Pickens graduated from the university in 1951.
The OSU Foundation thanks Boone and Nelda Pickens for their generous support of our university programs.
