When I learned that the Denver Chalk Art Festival was being sponsored by a Steampunk cirque, I toyed with the idea of a steampunk-based peace sign.






Sadly, the design was washed out by rain that night.






Undeterred, I repainted part of the circle to work on the steampunk details.






The results were promising, but took much longer than my usual stuff, which I could fill in very quickly.






It was possible to get a pretty high level of detail, but I could see that it would take far too long. We knew rain was coming and the design would be washed out at the end of Day One. I needed a design I could do twice. So, back to the psychedelic design.
